What Does the US Manufacture, Part 2

Updating my post from yesterday, below is a graph showing the growth/decline in US manufacturing by NAICS sector:


You’ll notice many of the industries are lower than their previous peaks, but that is more a condition of the most recent recession, rather than due to offshoring.  US manufacturing is alive and well.

  1. No way can curves come together like that unless, they were normalized there. Shouldn’t you have said that?
    And from what I understand about that form of display it is terribly confusing unless you normalize in the beginning.
